Random stuff!

Here are a couple pics from school this week. The kid's have been doing great since the New Year. They have really been enjoying school and learning new things. Buster figured out counting by 2's this week. I tried to teach him last week, but he was sick. On Monday I wrote the number's 1-10 each on a piece of paper odd numbers on blue even on pink. I then layed them on the floor in a row. I told him to pretend he was a frog and hop from pink to pink and call out the numbers. He thought it was really fun, and when daddy came home he promptly counted from 2-10 by 2's. I finally mixed up a batch of Kool-aid playdoh and the kid's are really enjoying it. Look for more school pics on Monday for Tot School. Also I found a fun icberg project on one of the blogs I frequent? I was going to give a link but I can't find it now. Just have your kids pick out a small toy place inside a freezable container add water and blue food coloring. Freeze it and when it is done add it to you kid's bath and they can watch it melt. They really liked it.

We have had some sunny weather the last few days. It is still cold, but at least it is clear. We took the kid's to the park on Saturday and below are some pictures.

The girl's got new carseats!

Tut, Tut it look's like a party!

Well our Buttercup is going to be 1 in like a week and a half ;( I just relized yesterday that I better start planning her party. I got a little inspiration and I made some cute things. We are doing classic Winnie the Pooh as a theme. Here are some pictures of the party hats, banner, and favor bags I made.

Tot School 3

Tot School
Sweetpea was sick half of the week, so we didn't do whole lot of tot school this week. I bought some bingo daubers and they were a big hit. She has been getting better at drawing and there is a pic of one of her cute drawings. Sweetpea told me it was a drawing of mommy and daddy. We also made these snowglobe snowmen. I found this idea on http://www.notimeforflashcards.com/

Sweetpea really like's Woody right now. I found this cute hat at a thrift store for a dollar.

We made these fun igloo snacks with apples, peanut butter, and marshmallows. Buster found the idea in his Club house Jr. Magazine.

Best day of school ever!

Buster informed me today after school that today was the best day of school ever. I asked him what made it so great. He said all of it and school really wasn't so bad. I have no idea what made this day more special than anyother, but I'm happy that he is enjoying himself. I have a suspicion that marshmallow igloos had something to do with it though ;) I bought him a subscription to Club House Jr. and he recieved his first article this week. They have a recipe section and one of them was for these cute igloos. You cut an apple in half and removed core, Lay on plate and cover skin with peanut butter, then cover with mini marshmallows. He was so excited to try this and it was a hit. Of course the ones in the magazine looked a little better. We are focusing this month on snowmen, mittens, and soon penguins. I also picked up some bingo daubers at Walmart yesterday and the kid's had a lot of fun with those.

Tot School 2

Tot School

Last week we got back into schooling for a couple of days, so here are some pics of the girls.

Doing some worksheets together. Sweetpea loves to color.

All the blocks out, and Buster getting in on the fun.

Painting time, she really gets into this.

Sweetpea's new favorite thing is beading. Thanks to Auntie Beth we have some new beads.

Buttercup playing with her new blocks. I would build a tower and then she promptly knocked it down. She thought this was a blast.

Happy New Year!

I hope that you all had a fun New Year's Eve. We went to a friends house for dinner. When we came home we folded the hide a bed out for the kid's. We watched a movie and had rootbeer floats. Both of the older two started to fall asleep around 11:30. I had to wake them up and get out the instruments. We turned on the TV so we could watch the countdown, and the kid's had a blast making noise. I bought some party poppers, which I ended up popping while the kid's watched because they were too scared to pop them on their own. I hope that 2009 is filled with blessings for you all.
