Tot School

We had a great week of school! This week we were studying the human body, and I used the 5 senses as our daily themes. We covered touch, Sight, and sound. We are also making a human body lapbook http://www.homeschoolshare.com/my_body.php . The kids really enjoyed the exercise game from it and we played it every day. http://www.homeschoolshare.com/docs54367/body/Body%20-%20exercise%20abc.pdf
I put the pictures in a slideshow because there was so many. I also showed pics of some of the books we read this week. For touch we did ink hand prints, played with shaving creme, and did touch bags. I put some random objects in paper bags, and the kids had to guess what they were by feeling. For sight we played I spy bingo and looked at I spy books. As well as a few other things.

K roundup!

Buster finished his shark lapbook this week. He really enjoyed studying them. We took the kid's to the Oregon coast aquarium last weekend and he got to pet a small shark and a sting ray. He was also able to see some sharks swimming. Right now I'm printing out a human body lapbook for next week. http://www.homeschoolshare.com/my_body.php

Tot School

We had a short Tot school this week, because Buster and I both had strep throat. We did manage to get some schooling and fun in. On Wednesday we took the whole day to do Valentines things. I took a bunch of pictures. Unfortunately I was still a little out of it and did not relize that there was no card in my camera, so no pictures. The kids did conversation heart math( sorting, counting chart etc.) We made heart shaped cookies. I took strawberry cake mix and made it into cookies. They glued pompoms onto a heart, and made a we love daddy sign with stickers. I wrote it on construction paper and the kids covered my marker with stickers. Sweetpea really enjoyed that. Here are some pics I actually got.

Happy Valentine's day!

I hope you all have a great Valentine's Day!

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Cor 13:1-13 (NKJV)

This the kind of Love I know we are striving for. I am quite a ways off from this myself. It is amazing how God can Love us like this just as we are :) I hope that we can all take every opportunity to learn to Love Jesus, our spouses, and children more each day.
